About the role#
The Incident Response Intern position is designed for individuals looking to build a career in cybersecurity. You will join our consulting team to support client security, protect data, and maintain system integrity during active incidents. This role focuses on the practical aspects of incident response, including forensic collection, log review, and threat hunting.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate with team members to execute incident response engagements.
- Review and analyze security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in the collection of digital forensic evidence to support investigations.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting activities using security tools.
- Generate detailed reports based on investigation findings and client metrics.
- Participate in on-site incident response engagements to address security incidents.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Data Science.
- Understanding of networking, cybersecurity, and IT concepts.
- Experience in troubleshooting technical issues or investigating security incidents.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven adaptability and a strong drive to learn.
