About the role#
Crowe BGK is seeking Tax Accountant Interns for a 4-month term starting in January 2027 at our Montreal office. This role provides hands-on experience in tax and accounting by working on files for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and businesses. While this position is an opportunity for students pursuing a CPA path, please note that audit hours will not be accumulated toward your professional designation.
What you'll do#
- Prepare accurate Canadian personal tax returns (T1) to ensure client compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of trust (T3) and partnership (T5013) tax returns.
- Produce information slips (T4/T5).
- Enter and validate data within tax preparation software.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and tax returns for small to medium-sized businesses.
- Collaborate and communicate with partners, managers, and colleagues.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Commerce program with a major or concentration in Accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and quick to learn.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to work additional hours during the peak tax season as required.
- Previous experience in T1, T3, T4, T5, or T5013 preparation is an asset.
