About the role#
The Professional Services Explorer Internship is a 12-week summer program designed to provide undergraduate students with an overview of our Professional Services division. You will cycle through various teams, including Incident Response, Red Team, and Strategic Advisory Services, to gain insight into how we support customers and secure organizations. This role is intended for students entering their penultimate year of a Bachelor's degree program.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through different Professional Services teams to learn how we respond to cyber attacks and identify technology vulnerabilities.
- Support customers by identifying weaknesses in their security processes and technology.
- Advise customers on proactive security measures and participate in tabletop exercises and assessments.
- Learn from and interact with teams such as Falcon OverWatch, Falcon Complete, and Counter Adversary Operations.
- Contribute to a positive work environment and collaborate with colleagues across the organization.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student due to enter your penultimate year of a Bachelor's degree program, with a targeted graduation date in May or June 2029.
- Genuine interest in pursuing a career in the cybersecurity industry.
- Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts.
- Ability and desire to communicate frequently with both colleagues and external customers.
- Proven experience using AI technologies to streamline workflows and improve decision-making.
- Investigative mindset with a focus on problem-solving.
- Comfort using command-line interfaces across Windows, Linux, or macOS.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python 3.
- Understanding of forensic analysis methodology for Windows systems and experience analyzing large sets of logs.
Location & details#
- Location: Arlington, Virginia.
- Modality: Hybrid, requiring in-person attendance at the Arlington office three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday).
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 2, 2027, to August 20, 2027).
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week, Monday through Friday).
- Status: This is a paid internship position.
