About the role#
The Post Closing CEMA/COOP Specialist supports the Post Closing team by managing the documentation and shipment of CEMA and Cooperative (CO-OP) loan files. This role acts as a liaison between the Post Closing Department, settlement agents, and internal partners to ensure accurate loan processing and compliance with investor requirements.
What you'll do#
- Monitor a suspended closed loan pipeline requiring the shipment of CEMA and CO-OP loan files.
- Perform due diligence reviews of CEMA and CO-OP documentation for accuracy.
- Complete data input for the issuance of CEMA and CO-OP documents.
- Identify, obtain, and document missing items required to complete collateral packages.
- Assemble CEMA and CO-OP collateral packages and ship them to investors.
- Serve as the primary contact for settlement agents regarding documents requiring company signatures.
- Image all documentation into the loan origination system prior to shipping.
- Assist the Closing Department with documents needed for recording, including preparing assignments.
- Meet daily production goals and adhere to internal service level agreement timelines.
What you'll need#
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage closing or post closing activities.
- Working knowledge of CEMA and CO-OP loan files.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong prioritization and communication skills.
- A current Notary Public commission is considered a plus.

- This is a full-time, remote position based in Cleveland, Ohio.
- The role is paid and follows a rolling term.
