About the role#
This internship offers college students an 8-10 week experience to learn about the insurance industry and explore potential career paths. You will gain insight into how different divisions contribute to the organization while developing your leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Houston, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Learn about insurance, industry workflows, and the various divisions within the organization.
- Gain analytical, technical, and decision-making skills through formal and informal learning.
- Complete special projects and assignments to support your department.
- Finish all prescribed training programs.
- Network with senior leaders, experienced teammates, and fellow interns.
- Receive regular formal and informal feedback throughout the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Insurance, Risk Management, Business, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related data field.
- Strong academic performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining professional composure.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated flexibility in managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Leadership aptitude and a strong interest in pursuing a career in insurance services.
- Previous work or internship experience is preferred.
