About the role#
This co-op position offers students the chance to learn how to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment. You will work alongside a maintenance team to support production goals while gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Support production maintenance on all machines to keep downtime low.
- Read schematics, diagrams, and work orders to determine assembly sequences.
- Use precision measuring tools to verify part dimensions and ensure they meet specifications.
- Establish and maintain inventory, records, and documentation systems.
- Handle, store, and label hazardous waste in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Inspect parts for defects and use hand or power tools to assemble components.
- Consult with technicians and machinists regarding equipment design specifications.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment at a technical high school.
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- A grade average of C or better.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English.
- Ability to follow all safety policies, including wearing electrical rated safety shoes.
- Ability to lift or move up to 15 pounds.
