About the role#
The Product Engineering Intern supports our engineering team with the design, build, and testing of mechanical and electrical components. You will gain hands-on experience by working on real projects, ranging from product improvements to performance validation. This role provides an opportunity to apply engineering principles in a practical setting while working under the guidance of experienced engineers.
What you'll do#
- Create and update CAD models, component drawings, circuit schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Support prototyping tasks such as 3D printing, mechanical assembly, and circuit soldering.
- Execute product testing by setting up equipment, running procedures, and collecting measurement data.
- Perform research and data analysis to support design decisions, including benchmarking and reviewing test results.
- Maintain engineering documentation, including updating bills of materials and drafting test reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at Lafayette College.
- Basic proficiency with CAD tools like SolidWorks, Creo, or Onshape.
- Foundational knowledge of electronics, including schematics, wiring, and breadboard prototyping.
- Basic coding skills for embedded systems such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or ESP32.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- This internship is based on-site in Easton, Pennsylvania.
- The position is full-time and paid.
- We are looking for candidates for a rolling term.
