About the role#
We are seeking a Quality Department Intern for a 12-week summer engagement. You will focus on organizing and standardizing Quality Management System (QMS) documentation across our four Electric Vehicle Battery Solutions (EVBS) sites in Atlanta, Las Vegas, Detroit, and Oklahoma City. This project supports our ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certification efforts by improving how our teams access and maintain controlled documents.
What you'll do#
- Audit and inventory existing QMS documentation and SharePoint content across all four sites.
- Design a standardized folder and library structure for quality manuals, procedures, forms, and records.
- Establish consistent naming conventions, version control practices, and metadata tagging.
- Map document ownership and access permissions by role and site.
- Migrate or reorganize existing content into the new structure.
- Develop simple reference guides or training aids to help site teams maintain the new system.
- Partner with Quality leaders at each site to validate the structure.
- Provide regular progress updates and a final readout summarizing your work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Business, Information Systems, Industrial or Systems Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort working with large volumes of documents and files.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and the broader Microsoft 365 environment, including Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A basic understanding of or interest in quality management systems like ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with stakeholders across multiple sites and time zones.
- Experience with SharePoint site-building is a plus.
- Ability to coordinate virtually or travel between sites in Atlanta, Las Vegas, Detroit, and Oklahoma City.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role operates on a hybrid work schedule.
