About the role#
As an AI/Automation Intern, you will join our team to work across the Intelligent Automation and Data Analytics domains. This full-time summer 2027 internship offers hands-on experience with modern automation and AI technologies. You will assist in the full automation lifecycle, from gathering requirements to deploying and monitoring solutions. You will be supported by a team and an assigned program mentor to help you develop your professional skills and expand your network.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with analysts to gather requirements, document process definitions, and design automation solutions.
- Apply RPA technologies like UiPath or Blue Prism to automate business processes.
- Conduct data collection, cleaning, and analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
- Utilize process mining techniques to analyze and optimize workflows.
- Develop reports and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Support the design and implementation of machine learning models.
- Apply prompt engineering techniques to design, refine, and validate prompts for LLM features.
- Assist in building and configuring AI agents for task automation and workflow orchestration.
- Implement agentic automation patterns, including monitoring and safe delegation.
- Review model outputs for clarity and accuracy.
- Research new technologies in the intelligent automation ecosystem.
- Provide documentation for processes and participate in design and code reviews.
- Support analytics and automation teams with project management and coordination.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, MIS, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 and completion of relevant coursework.
- Foundational programming experience in languages such as Python, R, SQL, Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, PowerShell, Bash, VBA, or VB.Net.
- Familiarity with RPA tools, process mining techniques, and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience working with REST APIs, JSON payloads, OAuth, and webhooks.
- Exposure to LLMs, chatbots, or AI tools, along with an understanding of prompt engineering concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
