About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You will work on-site for approximately 12 weeks during the summer of 2027. The role focuses on our digital transformation strategy and its application within research and development.
What you'll do#
- Learn about Covestro products, including their chemistry, applications, and business opportunities.
- Apply your education to active R&D projects by supporting the development of new products and technologies.
- Support initiatives within our digital transformation strategy.
- Use AI-powered robotics and automation technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of R&D operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering.
- You must be a rising junior as of May 2027.
- A major or minor in Robotics, Mechatronics, or related programs that combine engineering with AI and automation.
- Coursework or project experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, or automation systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to coordinate projects and be proactive in identifying technical solutions.
- Communication skills to build working relationships with a diverse team.
