About the role#
As a Web Application Development Intern, you will design, develop, and maintain client-facing applications to support business requirements. You will follow approved life cycle methodologies, create design documents, and configure DevOps utilities. This role involves resolving technical issues through debugging and research while working in a hybrid environment.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and maintain custom applications and corporate systems.
- Analyze user requirements to design application systems.
- Plan, investigate, and propose system and application solutions.
- Prepare workflows for writing, testing, and maintaining computer programs.
- Architect program specifications and business logic.
- Create and update user manuals and documentation.
- Correct, test, and document changes to existing programs.
- Conduct training sessions and presentations.
- Support existing applications, including participation in a night and weekend rotation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Graduate degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related subject.
- Hands-on experience with object-oriented languages and frameworks.
- Knowledge of relational database management systems and web technologies.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks during the summer.
