Software Developer (Co-op)

About the role#

As a Software Developer (Co-op), you will support a collaborative team in building and maintaining a microservice platform using modern cloud technologies. You will contribute to the technical roadmap and help shape the direction of the product. This role provides hands-on experience in a modern development environment.

What you'll do#

• Write and test-drive code for new features and bugfixes.
• Participate in code reviews to share knowledge and improve code quality.
• Engage in pairing and mob programming sessions to learn from teammates and support their growth.
• Build and deploy software through an automated CI/CD pipeline.
• Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure for team products.
• Design and develop automated test suites, refine acceptance criteria, and establish test plans.
• Monitor product health through application, system, and business metrics.
• Contribute to technical documentation and team processes.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a co-op program.
• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Strong communication skills to solve problems and clarify technical requirements.
• A collaborative approach to decision-making and team success.
• An eagerness to learn and a willingness to ask for help.

Location & details#

• Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
• Work Modality: Hybrid (two days per week in the Yaletown office, remaining days remote).
• Employment Type: Full-time.
• Term: Rolling.
