About the role#
The Program Director manages the Urban Innovation Fellows Program at the Cornell Tech campus. This role focuses on program design, implementation, and oversight to accelerate technology adoption within local government agencies. You will lead a cohort of Fellows who work directly with these agencies on two-year, full-time projects. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position for a two-year term with potential for renewal.
What you'll do#
- Create, lead, and direct program design, including scoping technology projects and developing success metrics.
- Recruit and manage a new cohort of Urban Innovation Fellows, providing day-to-day project management, coaching, and performance development.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of programmatic policies, procedures, and strategic plans.
- Communicate and confer with key partners, including city agencies, City Hall staff, academic colleagues, funders, and industry partners.
- Direct the development of program publications, resources, and marketing strategies to document and share progress.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with technology pilot design and execution.
- Experience in or a demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.
- Proven ability to navigate complex projects with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills for writing, meetings, and presentations.
- Academic background in fields such as Urban Planning, Business Administration, Political Science, Communications, Sociology, or Computer Science.
