About the role#
The Urban Tech Hub at Cornell Tech is seeking a Program Director for the Innovation Fellows Initiative. This role serves as a catalyst for improving innovation processes within New York City government. You will oversee the program's design, implementation, and monitoring while expanding our reach to more agencies and a larger cohort of fellows. This is a full-time, two-year term position with the potential for renewal.
What you'll do#
- Manage the full lifecycle of the program, including design, implementation, and ongoing monitoring.
- Recruit and supervise a cohort of Urban Innovation Fellows embedded within local government agencies.
- Scope specific technology deployment projects and identify potential blockers to ensure successful execution.
- Develop and oversee programmatic policies, procedures, and budgets.
- Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including city agencies, academic partners, and funders.
- Document progress and findings to share best practices for technology adoption in the public sector.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated interest and background in urban tech policy.
- Familiarity with the design and execution of technology pilots.
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills, including the ability to lead meetings and deliver presentations.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in a collaborative environment.
