About the role#
Geosciences Interns work with mentors and professional teams to analyze subsurface data for hydrocarbon exploration and development projects. Interns contribute to basin studies, exploration plays, and field development by making recommendations for future activities. This role provides exposure to industry projects, with potential opportunities for short courses or field trips.
What you'll do#
- Interpret subsurface geoscience and related data to support exploration and development.
- Perform 3D seismic interpretation of fault juxtaposition to predict trap geometry and size.
- Conduct detailed 3D seismic interpretation of known fields to identify drilling locations.
- Generate prospects and develop well proposals.
- Perform unconventional facies and rock type modeling for hydraulic fracturing analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a graduate student pursuing a Master's degree or higher in Geology, Geophysics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- A completed Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
- Expected graduation date of Fall 2027 or later.
- Availability to start the internship in mid-to-late May 2027 for a minimum of 10 continuous weeks.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without company sponsorship.
