About the role#
Commonwealth Associates, Inc. is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, part-time position based on-site. You will gain professional experience through project work and cross-departmental collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Perform general project tasks.
- Develop design calculations.
- Participate in enrichment opportunities with other departments.
- Handle miscellaneous work as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Mechanical Engineering program.
- Completion of Statistics and Dynamics.
- Completion of Mechanics and Strength of Materials.
- Completion of all required math courses.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Completion of Fluids, Thermo, and Heat Transfer courses is preferred.

This role is available at our offices in Jackson, Michigan; Gahanna, Ohio; Lake Mary, Florida; and Liberty Lake, Washington.
