About the role#
This Actuarial Intern role supports the development, pricing, and management of creditor insurance products. You will work on coverage for mortgages, personal loans, lines of credit, auto loans, and credit cards. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate experience data and emerging trends to recommend pricing adjustments and product enhancements.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance actuarial pricing models using AXIS software to assess profitability, risk, and pricing adequacy.
- Analyze large datasets to prepare reports, dashboards, and insights that inform pricing strategies.
- Use critical thinking to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, and propose solutions.
- Build relationships and share knowledge to support team goals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in actuarial science, mathematics, or statistics.
- Ability to adapt to changes and work effectively as a team player.
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to convey messages and explore diverse points of view.
- Experience in VBA, AXIS, or Excel is an asset.

- Location: Burlington, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (2 days in office).
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: $30 to $37.50 per hour.
