About the role#
As a Governance Intern in our Guelph office, you will join the Enterprise Governance Office. This team focuses on trust, transparency, and accountability to help the organization meet its strategic objectives. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting key governance initiatives, assisting with business transformation projects, and improving the systems that support corporate governance.
What you'll do#
- Support governance records management initiatives.
- Assist in the implementation and organization of a new digital governance repository to ensure records are accurate, accessible, and maintained.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives for corporate secretariat activities.
- Provide support to various functions within the Enterprise Governance Office.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary co-op program with eligibility to complete a work term.
- Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate arguments, recognize assumptions, and propose solutions.
- Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and work well both independently and in a team.
- Strong computing skills and an aptitude for learning new digital tools.
- Eagerness to learn and attention to detail.
Location & details#
- Location: Guelph, Ontario.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (2 days per week in office).
- Term: 4 months.
- Compensation: $23 to $27 per hour.
- Requirements: English is required, and French is an asset. You must provide a resume, cover letter, and your most recent unofficial transcript. A background check is a condition of employment.
