About the role#
As a Systems Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience defining requirements, testing software, and supporting system integration projects. You will work across multiple engineering disciplines and lead an entry-level project to apply system engineering principles to real-world equipment development.
What you'll do#
- Define system-level features and break them down into subsystem definitions and requirements.
- Assist in creating requirements for software development.
- Perform testing and on-board validation of software packages on equipment.
- Collaborate across engineering teams to coordinate system definition, design, and integration.
- Work with software development teams on the implementation and integration of software into vehicles.
- Support root cause analysis on issues involving controller software, hardware I/O, wire harnessing, and mechanical subsystems.
- Conduct design analysis on components, vehicle systems, and software architectures.
- Participate in design reviews, safety analysis, DFMEAs, and hazard and risk assessments.
- Assist with the development of automated testing tools and technical documentation.
- Lead an entry-level project to implement a new feature onto CNH equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program.
- Bachelor’s degree pursuit in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Agriculture Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Proven curiosity and interest in engineering through academic achievement, extracurricular activities, personal projects, technical competitions, research, or prior internship experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A willingness to learn and contribute in a collaborative engineering environment.

- Location: New Holland, Pennsylvania, USA.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship with an hourly rate between $19.57 and $35.02.
