About the role#
As a Perception/Robotics Engineer Intern, you will research, develop, and evaluate technologies that allow machines to interpret their surroundings in real time. You will work on specific technical problems to help our equipment operate effectively in demanding environments.
What you'll do#
- Architect perception systems that process data from LiDAR, radar, thermal sensors, and cameras in real time.
- Develop and maintain machine learning, sensor fusion, and computer vision algorithms.
- Design solutions for extreme conditions, ensuring algorithms handle mud, dust, vibration, and changing light.
- Lead field-testing campaigns to verify how systems perform in real-world crop conditions and various growth stages.
What you'll need#
- A Masters degree in Robotics or a relevant field.

- Location: Tempe, Arizona.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
