About the role#
The Soil and Crop Modeling team develops simulation technologies to design and optimize agricultural equipment. You will work with experienced engineers on projects that simulate how crop materials interact with machine components. This role involves using advanced modeling techniques to support concept development and solve engineering challenges before physical testing begins.
What you'll do#
- Develop and validate virtual crop flow models for combine harvesting systems using Discrete Element Method (DEM) simulation software.
- Use programming and API development techniques to improve simulation model physics.
- Conduct laboratory measurements of physical and mechanical crop properties.
- Process experimental data to update crop and equipment simulation models.
- Build upon the library of virtual crop models for threshing, separation, and grain handling processes.
- Work with crop flow modeling, design, and test engineering teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program.
- Pursuit of an Associates, Technical, Bachelor, or Post-graduate degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Engineering, Biological/Biosystem/Bioresource Engineering, Agronomy, or a related field.

- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
