About the role#
The Combine Engineering team at CNH focuses on the design, development, and validation of combine harvesters. As a Product Engineering Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers to support product development through design, testing, and manufacturing activities. You will gain hands-on experience while solving real-world challenges related to agricultural machinery.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and complete designs, layouts, and drawings for assigned product elements.
- Use engineering techniques, safety standards, and manufacturing processes to create cost-effective designs.
- Perform engineering calculations to determine part sizes, strengths, and solve design challenges.
- Support prototype builds by preparing work orders, part requisitions, parts lists, and engineering change requests.
- Assist with laboratory and field testing, including collecting and reporting results to validate designs.
- Resolve functional and mechanical problems on assigned sub-systems.
- Travel to plants, supplier facilities, and field test locations to troubleshoot issues.
- Learn and apply CNH engineering standards and ISO work procedures.
- Become proficient in CAD and engineering data management systems.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- CAD experience.
- Experience in the use and service of large agricultural equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with personal computers and MS Office products.
- Availability to travel to field test sites.
