    About the role#

    The Haytools Field Test Engineering team validates the performance, reliability, and durability of hay and forage equipment. You will work with prototype machines in lab and field environments to ensure products meet standards for functionality, safety, and quality. This role involves hands-on work with prototype equipment and close collaboration with design teams to improve product performance.

    What you'll do#

    • Update prototype equipment and support design teams with Creo modeling tasks.
    • Review test plans and run tests on-site and in the field.
    • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues with crop gathering, cutting, feeding, drivetrain, electrical, electronic, and fluid power systems.
    • Collect and interpret field and lab data, including noise, vibration, speed, torque, hydraulic pressure, and electronic sensor data.
    • Submit concise test reports on performance, reliability, serviceability, customer appeal, and safety.
    • Maintain accurate test records.
    • Assist with the build and assembly of prototype machinery.
    • Travel to remote test locations for extended periods, which may account for 40 to 60 percent of the internship.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a college student actively pursuing a degree.
    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.

    • Location: New Holland, Pennsylvania, United States.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: Paid position ($19.00 - $31.00 per hour).
