About the role#
This internship focuses on the development and integration of driveline control strategies for electronic control units. You will work alongside the Controls, Software, System design, Test Lab, and Vehicle teams to support algorithm design and testing in both virtual and real-world environments.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and integration of driveline control strategies.
- Use Matlab and Simulink to develop controls algorithms based on architectural designs and requirements.
- Develop, review, and test software algorithm designs in virtual and real-world settings.
- Perform calibration tuning and optimization in virtual environments like MIL/HIL and real-world environments including dyno and vehicle testing.
- Support the decomposition of software requirements from driveline system requirements.
- Develop Model-In-Loop test plans, perform tests, and document the results.
- Assist in the verification and validation of driveline controls software using Hardware-In-Loop equipment.
- Provide regular progress updates to your manager and deliver project milestones on time.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.

- Location: Oak Brook, Illinois, United States.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
