About the role#
This 10-week internship program prepares Accounting and Finance students for a career in corporate finance. You will work within the Corporate Financial Services department, gaining hands-on experience through assignments that contribute to the team's daily activities. You will report to an experienced manager and work alongside other finance staff. The program also includes classroom training on insurance accounting, reporting, and specific methodologies used at CNA.
What you'll do#
- Participate in assignments across financial reporting, insurance accounting, and financial planning and analysis.
- Support financial systems governance and accounting controls.
- Engage in networking opportunities with colleagues and senior leaders.
- Attend structured classroom training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current major in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or a related degree.
- Minimum 3.2 GPA in both your overall studies and your major.
- Completion of at least 12 hours of Accounting credits is preferred.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and the capacity to build collaborative relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Genuine interest in pursuing a long-term career at CNA.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
