About the role#
The Research HS Intern position provides a structured learning experience within the Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Institute. Working under the direction of a Principal Investigator or research manager, you will gain hands-on experience in a clinical or laboratory research setting. This is a paid, full-time internship.
What you'll do#
- Participate in clinical or research projects, either individually or as part of a group.
- Assist with a variety of clinical or laboratory tasks.
- Collect and analyze research data.
- Provide suggestions and recommendations regarding specific laboratory or clinical projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in high school.
- Ability to weigh pros and cons and separate critical issues.
- Capability to make definitive choices, express opinions on issues, and explain your logical decision-making process.
- Ability to perform a full range of body motion, including handling and lifting items, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Interest in fields such as Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Chemistry, or Public Health.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus in Cleveland, Ohio.
- The internship follows a rolling term schedule.
- Shifts typically run from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- You must follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.
