About the role#
This internship places you directly alongside the founding team of a pre-seed AI recruiting startup. You will help connect candidates with roles at VC-backed companies. You own real workflows from day one and influence candidate placement outcomes. This role is designed for someone who thrives in a small team.
What you'll do#
- Manage relationships with a high volume of incoming candidates.
- Match and introduce candidates to startup opportunities based on goals and fit.
- Own end-to-end workflows for talent sourcing, outreach, and candidate coordination.
- Identify and drive process improvements to scale recruiting operations.
- Collaborate with founders on cross-functional initiatives in operations, growth, and product feedback.
- Support the automation and optimization of internal workflows.
What you'll need#
- Completed Bachelor's degree.
- At least 3 months of prior internship experience, ideally in consulting, sales, startups, or venture capital.
- Demonstrated ability to take end-to-end ownership of projects and deliver measurable results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Academic achievement, such as a strong GPA, attendance at a selective university, or active open-source contributions.
- Comfort working in informal, entrepreneurial environments.
- Willingness to relocate to San Francisco and live and work in a shared hacker-house setup with the founding team.
- Willingness to commit to a 6-day work week.
- Prior experience in recruiting or candidate relationship management is a plus.
- Familiarity with the VC-backed startup ecosystem is a plus.
- Experience with workflow automation tools is a plus.
- A background in social media or content creation is a plus.
