About the role#
The City of Oklahoma City Airports Department is seeking interns to gain practical training in public administration and airport operations. This part-time, year-round position involves supporting City departments through research, technical assistance, and project management. Interns work no more than 29 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Provide research and administrative support to an assigned City department or division.
- Perform a wide variety of administrative, project-related, and financial assignments.
- Assist with special projects while completing degree programs.
- Work with minimal supervision on assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior undergraduate student, or a master's student, in aviation management, aviation technology, or a closely related field.
- Recent graduates (within the past two years) with a degree in aviation management, aviation technology, public administration, business, or a closely related program.
- Familiarity with the principles of airport planning, operations, and management.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (including 14CFR Parts 77, 91, and 139).
- Ability to provide copies of academic transcripts at the time of application.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Location & details#
- Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $17.50 - $22.50 per hour.
- Requirements: Interns assigned to the Airports Department must successfully pass a TSA background check including fingerprinting. All employees are required to receive pay electronically via direct deposit or pay card.
