About the role#
Join the Global Markets team as a Student Analyst or Associate on the eTrading Quant team for a 12-month term. You will work on quantitative models, pricing algorithms, and analytics for the electronic foreign exchange (FX) business. This role involves collaborating with trading, sales, and business analysts to drive the business forward and build out internal applications and infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Develop quantitative models, pricing algorithms, and analytics for the electronic FX business.
- Build out internal applications, infrastructure, and market-making algorithms.
- Partner with trading and sales teams to identify business opportunities and execute transactions.
- Present detailed analysis, financial modeling, and research to support senior professionals.
- Automate existing processes and contribute to the development of new business initiatives.
- Communicate complex concepts to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
What you'll need#
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree with significant coursework in software development and Computer Science.
- Graduation date no earlier than August 2028.
- Experience in software development using at least two general-purpose programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C++.
- Demonstrated interest in Capital Markets and a record of academic success.
- Experience building software in a collaborative setting using version control systems like git.
- Ability to read and write SQL.
- Strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills.
- Experience with polars, spark, or pandas is considered an asset.
- Effective written, oral, and presentation skills.

- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2027 (12 months, May 2027 to April 2028).
- Work Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: Annualized base salary of $100,000.
