About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within our transportation team, specifically focusing on asset management. You will learn to manage and optimize the lifecycle of transportation assets while working alongside cross-functional teams to support data analysis, reporting, and strategic planning.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and manage large amounts of transportation asset data, including fleet utilization, maintenance records, and lifecycle costs.
- Maintain and improve asset inventories and databases to ensure accuracy.
- Work with transportation operations, maintenance, and financial planning teams to find cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Create reports and presentations for leadership that offer actionable recommendations.
- Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Contribute to strategic projects such as sustainability initiatives and technology integration.
- Engage with field operations teams to understand maintenance practices and team dynamics.
- Assist with additional projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a supply chain, logistics, transportation, or related degree program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A genuine interest in transportation systems and infrastructure.

- This is a full-time, paid internship located in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.
- The term covers Winter and Summer 2027.
- This role is on-site.
