About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based at our ethanol facility in Rochelle, Illinois. You will provide technical support to maintain equipment reliability and performance while following safety, environmental, and economic guidelines. You will work alongside experienced professionals on projects that support our operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist with mechanical equipment design and perform inspection data analysis.
- Conduct fitness for service evaluations and develop equipment repair plans.
- Perform root cause failure analysis and troubleshoot equipment performance to recommend maintenance.
- Collaborate with Process Engineers to design and install new projects and plant improvements.
- Identify and suggest improvements for safety, health, and environmental issues.
- Prepare equipment specifications, conduct research investigations, and handle report preparation.
- Perform equipment integrity evaluations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in a Mechanical, Agriculture, Electrical, Chemical, or Bio-Chemical engineering program at an ABET accredited four-year college or university.
- Previous internship experience in the ethanol or oilseed industries.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week on-site.
- Detail oriented mindset with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirators.
