About the role#
CHS Inc. is hiring an Agronomy Operations Intern to work on-site in Holdrege, Nebraska. This paid, full-time position runs during the Spring and Summer of 2027. You will work alongside experienced professionals to build practical skills in the agriculture industry.
What you'll do#
- Learn general agronomy skills including scouting, crop protection, nutrient products, and seed handling.
- Handle custom application procedures, mixing, truck driving, and product delivery.
- Perform daily agronomy and seed operations.
- Monitor inventory quality and manage record keeping.
- Conduct regular facility cleaning.
- Assist with repairs and preventative maintenance for equipment like sprayers, floaters, trucks, conveyors, and towers.
- Provide customer service and support.
- Maintain a workspace that follows all state, local, and CHS safety and environmental policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or related agriculture degree program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Prior agriculture experience or background knowledge is helpful.
- Previous internship experience is helpful but not required.
