About the role#
As an Agronomy Operations Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the daily operations of an agriculture facility. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support local farming operations and learn how our business serves agriculture customers. This is a paid, full-time position based in Fairfax, South Dakota.
What you'll do#
- Learn general agronomy skills, including crop scouting, product application, and mixing procedures.
- Handle seed and crop protection inventory, including monitoring quality and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with the repair and preventative maintenance of equipment like sprayers, trucks, conveyors, and towers.
- Drive trucks and deliver products to customers.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment that complies with all state, local, and company safety policies.
- Provide customer service and support to our clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or related agriculture degree program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Agriculture experience or background knowledge is helpful but not required.
- Previous internship experience is a plus.
