About the role#
CHS Inc. is seeking an Energy Sales Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Dorchester, Nebraska. This role provides insight into the energy team with a focus on the Certified Energy Specialist position. You will work alongside experienced professionals to build practical skills and learn how the business supports agriculture.
What you'll do#
- Shadow the Certified Energy Specialist (CES) during daily operations.
- Learn to increase sales and profitability by implementing marketing, sales, and consulting processes for CENEX products.
- Train on building and maintaining positive relationships with current and potential customers.
- Attend in-person sales calls and business meetings.
- Gain field experience by spending time with the energy service team and joining a propane route driver for a ride-along.
- Observe the Energy Manager to understand how the overall operation is managed for safety and efficiency.
- Learn about CHS energy programs, including the Cenex brand.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an energy, agriculture, or related field of study.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Background knowledge or experience in agriculture or energy is helpful.
