About the role#
Clinical Pharmacy Interns assist pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care to patients. This role involves working under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist to support the clinical goals of the hospital and the pharmacy department. This is a paid, full-time position that offers on-the-job training.
What you'll do#
- Procure and distribute medication orders per physician requests or prearranged assignments.
- Ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients following established protocols.
- Maintain adequate stock of medications and supplies.
- Contribute to the daily operation of the pharmacy department.
- Assist pharmacists in providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Active enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Ability to obtain a Registered Pharmacy Intern license in both Missouri and Kansas within 180 days of hire.
- No prior experience is required as on-the-job training is provided.
- Willingness to meet health requirements, including proof of specific immunizations (MMR, chicken pox, Tdap) and the seasonal influenza vaccine.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Kansas City, Missouri.
- This is an on-site role and is not eligible for remote work.
- Starting pay begins at $20.88 per hour, with final offers determined by education and experience.
