About the role#
The Wells Engineering internship provides students with the opportunity to work on actual projects alongside drilling or completions engineers. Interns contribute to the energy value chain by participating in office-based projects, safety and environmental performance studies, and technical analyses. Depending on the assignment, interns may gain exposure to operations in the Decision Support Center or spend time on a drilling or workover rig.

- Contribute to well design reviews and contractor analyses.
- Conduct optimization studies and project look-back reviews.
- Participate in safety and environmental performance studies.
- Build professional relationships and gain exposure to career opportunities within the company.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. program in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong academic performance in core programs.
- Demonstrated communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way.
- Ability to drive on a routine basis if required by the position.
