About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship opportunity focused on materials engineering within Chevron’s refining or upstream facilities. Interns work under the direct supervision of a senior materials engineer to gain hands-on experience in the energy sector. This position is on-site with rolling terms available.
What you'll do#
- Provide materials engineering support for refining or upstream operations.
- Perform material selection and review technical specifications.
- Conduct failure analyses, corrosion studies, and metallurgy studies.
- Prepare and present a written and oral summary of your internship contributions and impact.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree program in Metallurgical, Materials, or Corrosion Engineering.
- Strong academic performance in core coursework.
- Ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way.
