About the role#
This internship offers students the opportunity to work on real-world projects at operating facilities across the United States. Interns are paired with a process engineering mentor to gain hands-on experience, support facility operations, and apply technical engineering knowledge to actual business challenges. This is a full-time, paid position that provides exposure to the energy industry and serves as a potential pathway to full-time employment upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with a process engineering mentor on one or more assigned projects.
- Support operating facilities by applying technical engineering knowledge and project management skills.
- Optimize facilities to improve safety and reliability.
- Provide technical engineering support for turnarounds and facility projects.
- Develop and deploy industry-leading technologies focused on carbon reduction, efficiency, and maximizing returns.
- Utilize digitalization and data analytics to enhance process operations and safety.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in chemical engineering.
- A record of strong academic performance in core engineering coursework.
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on-site at assigned locations.
