    About the role#

    Chevron is hiring Petroleum Engineer Interns for the Summer 2026 term. This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to production and reservoir engineering projects while gaining experience in a global energy environment. Interns work within multi-disciplinary teams that may include geologists, data scientists, and facility engineers.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop technical skills through assignments focused on asset development, production operations, reserves, and risk management.
    • Work on projects matched to your degree and previous experience.
    • Collaborate with a mentor who provides guidance throughout your internship.
    • Contribute directly to Chevron operations in either field or office settings.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. program in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • Strong academic performance in your core program.
    • Demonstrated skills in communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving.
    • Ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way.
    • Note that this position may require routine driving.

    • Locations: Houston, Texas; Midland, Texas; Covington, Louisiana; and Bakersfield, California.
    • Term: Summer 2026.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: This is a paid position.
