About the role#
Chevron is hiring Petroleum Engineer Interns for the Summer 2026 term. This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to production and reservoir engineering projects while gaining experience in a global energy environment. Interns work within multi-disciplinary teams that may include geologists, data scientists, and facility engineers.
What you'll do#
- Develop technical skills through assignments focused on asset development, production operations, reserves, and risk management.
- Work on projects matched to your degree and previous experience.
- Collaborate with a mentor who provides guidance throughout your internship.
- Contribute directly to Chevron operations in either field or office settings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. program in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong academic performance in your core program.
- Demonstrated skills in communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving.
- Ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way.
- Note that this position may require routine driving.
