About the role#
This internship provides students with hands-on experience in construction management within the energy sector. Interns work alongside experienced construction managers to oversee the safety, efficiency, quality, and execution of construction projects. The role focuses on balancing project requirements with operational needs to ensure facility performance.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with experienced construction managers on project execution.
- Ensure all work conforms to safety policies, project plans, and relevant design and construction codes.
- Coordinate with engineering and operations groups to prioritize and plan project tasks.
- Reduce operating downtime by aligning facility activities with current production needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Strong academic performance in core coursework.
- Proficiency in communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving.
- Ability to demonstrate the values outlined in The Chevron Way.
