About the role#
As a Physical Therapist Intern at Cherry Creek School District, you will gain hands-on experience by completing tasks under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in a doctor of physical therapy or a physical therapist assistant program. You will work within the school environment to support student participation and development while collaborating with parents, staff, and community members.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate student functional abilities using interviews, skilled observation, and assessments.
- Synthesize evaluation results into written reports to guide program development.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to help create comprehensive educational plans.
- Provide targeted, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Monitor the effects of interventions and adjust plans as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a physical therapy or physical therapist assistant education program.
- A Colorado driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting process.
- Colorado Special Services Provider (SSP) Internship Authorization if you intend to sub.
