About the role#
This internship provides nursing students with clinical experience within the Cherry Creek School District. You will work directly with a school nurse to support health services and student wellness. Placements are coordinated through your university and are based on nurse availability within the district.
What you'll do#
- Support school health services and assist the school nurse with daily tasks.
- Promote student wellness and engage in health promotion activities.
- Integrate community oriented and community based nursing practices to care for students and families.
- Demonstrate nursing standards in a clinical school setting.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently working toward a bachelor degree in Nursing.
- A valid Basic Life Support certification is required.
- You must hold a Colorado driver license.
- A criminal background check and fingerprinting are required before you can start.
- If you intend to substitute during your internship, you will need a Colorado Special Services Provider Internship Authorization.

- This position is located in Denver, Colorado.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is an unpaid internship with a rolling term.
