About the role#
The Language Supports and Services Data Analyst assists the department director in building online tools to support educational decision-making. You will work across classroom, school, district, and state levels to ensure data integrity and compliance. This role involves managing data pipelines, including extraction, transformation, and integration between software applications and the district data warehouse.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain data visualizations using business intelligence tools like Tableau, PowerBI, and SSRS.
- Create and manage databases containing information on students, teachers, and schools.
- Protect the integrity and confidentiality of all research and data.
- Lead training sessions to improve data and assessment literacy for district staff.
- Identify and interpret patterns in complex data sets.
- Communicate insights to various audiences through technical documentation and oral presentations.
- Collaborate with leadership to formulate research questions and design project timelines.
- Work with information systems staff to refine data requirements and improve reporting efficiency.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a data analyst.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases, including advanced querying and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of data warehousing, ETL concepts, and statistical software like SAS or SPSS.
- Ability to explain complex data systems to both professional and lay audiences.
- Familiarity with student databases and CDE assessment requirements.
- Knowledge of culturally and linguistically diverse educational programming.
- A master's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds is preferred.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting process.

- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Englewood, Colorado.
- The role is paid and follows a rolling term.
