About the role#
We are hiring a Summer Student Engineering Intern for our team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2026. You will work on-site to support our robotics and data collection projects. Please note that this role requires U.S. citizenship and does not offer visa sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Inspect and repair drones.
- Run data collection exercises.
- Review the inventory database to identify missing or removed information.
- Organize equipment and tools.
- Annotate and organize video data.
- Take and follow direction from senior staff members.
What you'll need#
- U.S. citizenship.
- Experience with robotics and drones.
- Ability to comfortably operate computers and web-based applications.
- Skill in creating spreadsheets for inventory data.
- Ability to lift 50lbs to move and organize equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exposure to data collection exercises.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Biomedical, or Environmental Engineering.

- Compensation: $16 per hour, with the final rate determined by experience and qualifications.
