About the role#
Cerity Partners is seeking motivated students for a paid Wealth Management Internship during the summer of 2027. This role offers exposure to the financial industry at a registered investment advisory. You will work 30 to 40 hours per week in a professional environment that emphasizes collaboration and accountability.
What you'll do#
- Shadow and participate in client presentations.
- Assist Financial Advisors with the preparation of financial documents and performance reports.
- Support the full financial planning process, including discovery, data gathering, plan development, and ongoing reviews.
- Help design, implement, and maintain discretionary investment portfolios.
- Learn and apply income tax planning strategies.
- Utilize CRM and financial planning software systems.
- Conduct independent research and build spreadsheets for financial planning opportunities.
- Complete a financial planning project with a virtual team.
- Gain the opportunity to obtain e-Money Certification.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
- A minimum 3.2 GPA.
- A major in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, or a related business field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Active participation in campus organizations, ideally in a leadership role, or professional work experience.
- Alignment with the mission and core values of Cerity Partners.
