About the role#
This internship is a learning role designed to give students exposure to project management, field supervision, safety, and preconstruction. You will work under the direction of a Project Manager and Superintendent to gain hands-on experience on real job sites. The goal is to build management skills through direct mentorship and active support of project teams.
What you'll do#
- Partner with a Project Manager to implement project schedules, identify resources, and execute communication strategies.
- Attend operational and owner update meetings.
- Keep work schedules updated and complete weekly status reports.
- Update drawings, contract documents, and process change orders.
- Communicate with subcontractors and vendors to coordinate work.
- Monitor the quality and performance of subcontractors and vendors.
- Identify factors that could jeopardize project success or fail to meet expectations.
- Execute punch lists and project closeout.
- Maintain a safe work site environment.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Construction Management or an equivalent program.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to prioritize and develop work schedules.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
- Innovative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism in difficult situations.
- Experience moving ideas from brainstorming to implementation.
- Comfort using technology to support project goals.

- Compensation: $20-$25 per hour.
