About the role#
CenterPoint Energy is hiring a Gas Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. This full-time, paid position is based on-site in Houston, Texas. You will work directly with our engineering team to support ongoing projects and data management tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with various ongoing projects.
- Support designers during project design activities.
- Research the status of public improvement projects.
- Maintain project records by updating Access databases and Excel spreadsheets.
- Compile and provide project completion data for public improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student pursuing an ABET accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing is preferred.
- A strong GPA.
- A valid driver's license.
