About the role#
CenCore is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support our engineering team. You will work on mechanical design, component research, and manufacturing coordination. This role is a part-time position that offers the chance to contribute to engineering projects while you complete your education.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design of mechanical parts, assemblies, and subsystems.
- Research components, materials, processes, and physics principles to support design decisions.
- Use CAD tools to create, review, and modify design concepts and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to improve designs for manufacturability.
- Support engineering projects through task tracking and coordination.
- Identify questions and propose solutions to move work forward with minimal direction.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering or related degree program.
- Practical experience or coursework in CAD.
- Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks with limited oversight.
- Availability to work 16 to 20 hours per week.
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Location & details#
- Location: Springville, Utah.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 16 to 20 hours per week, with approximately three-fourths of hours occurring between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- This is a paid, part-time, non-exempt position.
