About the role#
This internship provides experience in a newsroom environment. You will learn how sports stories are developed, produced, and delivered across television and digital platforms. You will work alongside journalists to build skills in editing, producing, and storytelling.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate with local schools, coaches, and athletic departments.
- Gather game information, scores, and story ideas.
- Identify and recommend highlights for sports anchors, reporters, and photographers.
- Create and publish content for digital and television platforms.
What you'll need#
- Senior undergraduate status or recent graduation from an accredited college or university.
- Availability to commit to 24 hours per week for the 10-week program.
- A letter of recommendation from a professor specifically for the WCVB Internship Program.
- Submission of creative works or writing samples relevant to your interests.
- Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, or Media Studies.
