About the role#
The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority is hiring a student for the Communications team. You will work from the Ottawa headquarters on a hybrid schedule. This position runs from October 2026 to December 31, 2026, at 22.5 hours per week.
What you'll do#
Your primary focus is providing administrative and information management support to overhaul the team's shared folders. You will work with the Information Management team to apply standards for file organization, metadata, tagging, and naming conventions.
- Organize files, label content, and maintain inventories to validate data quality.
- Assist with content cleanup, migration, and records management.
- Conduct research and prepare reports, guidance materials, and process documentation.
- Provide project support to the Communications team and contribute to improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college diploma or university degree in information management, records management, or library and information studies.
- Coursework or experience with SharePoint, document management, metadata, and data quality.
- Experience preparing reports, presentations, and summaries.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
- Must be a full-time or part-time student returning to studies in the next academic year.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Reliability security clearance.
- Proficiency in English.

- Location: Ottawa, Ontario (Hybrid).
- Term: Fall 2026 (October to December).
- Compensation: $18.15 to $30.20 per hour based on education level.
